Restaurant Review: Blessed Cheese McLaren Vale

Ok well technically Blessed Cheese isn't a restaurant but that's what my blog category is called so that's what it'll be! Ok now we have that sorted let's get started!

Blessed Cheese is a combination of a cheese shop, licensed cafe and providore. They sell an amazing range of cheeses (see photo above - just a small section of their cheese fridge!), small goods, homemade bread and lots of organic pasta, juice, dips and more! They also can do up a custom picnic basket/hamper to take for a drive or to a local winery etc. They cost approx $60 including the basket, plates cutlery, napkins etc. You can choose what you like to put in or they put something together for you. See below for our custom picnic basket we ordered a few months ago.

The main reason for the review is the Blessed Cheese breakfast. They have the most amazing natural breakfasts are open from 8am til 2pm on the weekends and are also open Monday to Friday too. Check out their menu here.

My partner ordered the farmers bacon and eggs. It comes with fried spinach and sour-dough toast.

I ordered the corn fritters, which comes with poached eggs, bacon and tomato relish.

It is perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch followed by a stroll down the main road of McLaren Vale.

  7. Mmmmm! I've been missing good wines and cheeses ever since I came back from living in France! I hope they have a store in the DC/New York area! And the idea of prepared picnic baskets is amazing!
